OLD FRIENDS (AND FORMER HOLLIS KIDS) REUNITE !
I recently had the pleasure of meeting a person from another "generation" of Hollis kids. Marge Haemer contacted me and said that she had some pictures that she wanted me to look at. These were hollis kids from the prior generation. They are generally 7 to 8 years older than me, which would put them graduating from the 8th grade around 1950, 51,52,53. The picture belows shows, seated, left to right, Jack Jordan, Steve Rockelein, Pat (Ryan) Rockelein, Artie Pederson, Joyce (Bober) Casper, Sal Casper. On the Floor, Danny & Helen Rouse, Kathy (last unk.), Mary Lou Pedersen, Margie (Savarese) Haemer. Similar to the get togethers of the class of 1961 these former holliskids have also renewed their friendships with get togethers every so often.

HANGIN' OUT AT TIEDERMAN'S cira 1950'S
Pictured above are Danny Rouse, Artie Pedersen, Sal Casper, Donny Austin, and Gerbo Arcese. From the looks of this picture and what's in the background I would say these guys are probably right in front of the old candy store. Rouse, Pedersen and Casper can be seen above left in the group reunion photo that shows what they look like today. |
INSIDE THE OLD CANDY STORE circa 1950's
Pictured here, in a photo that Marge tells me was taken INSIDE Tiedermanns Candy Store, are Sal Casper, Davy Hill, Gebo Arcese, and Danny Rouse. Davy Hill turns up on another photograph that appears on another page in this web site.
Danny Rouse seems to have that little hair dip thing going for him in both pictures from that era. |
