THE NATURALS - THE PRIDE OF HOLLIS!
In the early 60's (pre Beatles)you could find guys standing on the streetcorners of every neighborhood trying to blend their voices into the different harmonies of the day. Hollis was no different. It seemed a right of passage that everybody tried at least once. If you couldn't sing then you listened and enjoyed. You didn't need money or a rehersal hall just a place where you could find an echo. Doorways or subways were the most common venues. It was really a quite exciting time, each neighborhood had a least one group that they would pit against any other. The Naturals were the pride of Hollis and the highlight of their career was appearing at the World's Fair in 1964.
